Consultation Scheduling Policy

To ensure we can serve all clients effectively, we require a credit card deposit when scheduling your initial consultation.

Important: There is no charge for your consultation. Your card is charged when you book your consultation.  However, this deposit is automatically refunded within 2-3 business days after your kept appointment.

Think of it as a reservation hold—it secures your appointment time and is returned to you after we meet.

No-Show/Late Cancellation Fee: $50

We understand that emergencies happen. If you need to cancel or reschedule, do so at least 24 hours before your appointment, and there will be no charge whatsoever.

We’ve found that requiring a deposit dramatically reduces missed appointments, allowing us to serve more families effectively. Your consultation is still completely free—the deposit is retained only if you miss your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice.

This simple step ensures that families who are serious about protecting their legacy can get the time they need with our office.

What counts as 24 hours’ notice?

The 24 hours are calculated from your scheduled appointment time. For example:

  • Appointment: Wednesday at 2:00 PM
  • Deadline to cancel: Tuesday at 2:00 PM

If you cancel or reschedule before Tuesday at 2:00 PM, you’ll receive a full refund. If you cancel after that time, the deposit is retained.

When will I get my refund?

Your refund is processed the same day as your consultation. The funds typically appear in your account within 2-3 business days, though some banks may take up to 5-7 business days.

You’ll receive an email confirmation when your refund is processed.

What if I cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice?

If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, the $50 deposit is retained per our policy. This compensates us for the appointment time you reserved and that could have been offered to another family.

What if I miss my appointment entirely?

If you miss your scheduled appointment without notifying us, the $50 deposit is retained. The deposit covers the missed appointment time.

We’ll still be happy to help you reschedule if you’d like to meet at a later date.
